Days 1–4Day 1 – Welcome to Punta Cana
Arrive at Punta Cana International Airport and make your way to your selected hotel. After checking in, take some time to settle in and enjoy your first glimpse of the palm-lined Caribbean coast.
Depending on your arrival time, walk to a nearby beach, explore the neighborhood or begin your vacation with an affordable dinner at a local Dominican restaurant.
Streetwise tip: Airport transportation can be arranged before arrival, helping you know the price in advance and start your vacation smoothly.
Day 2 – Bávaro Beach and El Cortecito
Begin your day on Bávaro Beach, famous for its soft white sand, warm turquoise water and long line of coconut palms. Public beach access allows you to enjoy Punta Cana’s most celebrated coastline without booking an expensive beachfront resort.
Later, explore El Cortecito, a lively beachfront community with small shops, cafés, restaurants and local character. Try Dominican favorites such as grilled chicken, fresh fish, rice and beans, plantains or empanadas.
The evening is yours. Enjoy a relaxed beachside drink, find a local restaurant or simply watch the Caribbean sunset.
Day 3 – Choose Your Own Punta Cana Adventure
Today is completely flexible. Spend another relaxing day at the beach without adding anything to your vacation cost, or select an optional experience according to your interests and budget.
Popular possibilities include:
Saona Island excursion
Catamaran or snorkeling trip
Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve
Adventure park or zipline experience
Buggy tour through the countryside
Santo Domingo day trip
Local food and cultural experiences
You decide how much—or how little—you want to do.
Day 4 – One Last Taste of Paradise
Enjoy breakfast and, if time permits, take a final walk along the beach or pick up a few locally made souvenirs.
Check out of your hotel and continue to Punta Cana International Airport. Not ready to leave? Simply add more nights during booking and turn this short Caribbean break into a longer vacation.
